Cath Lab Technologist - Greater Philadelphia

We’ve partnered with an established health system that’s seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join their interventional team. This role offers the opportunity to work across cardiac, vascular, and neurointerventional cases, supporting a collaborative group of physicians and clinical specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and neuro procedures.
  • Scrub, circulate, and monitor during complex cases such as angiograms, stent placements, and embolizations.
  • Prepare patients, maintain sterile technique, and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
  • Operate imaging equipment and support accurate documentation of all procedure details.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, technologists, and physicians to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT (R) required; (CV, VI, or CI) preferred.
  • Current state RT license (if applicable).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • 2+ years of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience; neurointerventional experience strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.

We’ve partnered with an established healthcare system in the Philadelphia area seeking experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RNs.

In this role, you’ll assist in diagnostic and interventional vascular and cardiac catheterization procedures, including emergent interventions such as IAB insertion, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker placement. The RN will collaborate with physicians and technologists to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with physicians and certified cardiovascular technologists to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care before, during, and after interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Demonstrates surgical consciousness by adhering to sterile technique, proper surgical attire, and established procedural protocols.
  • Monitors patients for hemodynamic stability and cardiac rhythm changes, intervening appropriately as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of interventional equipment and supplies, including guidewires, catheters, manifolds, and procedural workflows.
  • Practices and maintains competency in radiation safety and exposure reduction.
  • Prepares and assists patients for invasive cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and diagnostic cardiology procedures.
  • Provides patient education and instructions before and after all cardiovascular procedures and tests.
  • Reviews patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) for completeness, ensuring required documentation, signatures, and physician orders are in place.
  • Responds promptly and effectively in emergency situations, following ACLS protocols.
  • Checks, tests, and documents functionality of emergency and point-of-care (POC) equipment; prepares the Cath Lab and holding area for daily operations.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to support emergent procedures.

Requirements:

  • PA RN license (active)
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • 2+ years of cath lab or critical care experience preferred
  • RCIS/CCRN certification a plus
