Healthworks is pleased to offer invasive cardiovascular workforce personnel. Invasive cardiology is a medical specialty focused on diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases using invasive techniques. These techniques typically involve the use of catheters and other specialized equipment to access the heart and blood vessels for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Cardiovascular specialties encompass various subspecialties within the field of cardiology, each focusing on different aspects of cardiovascular health, diagnosis, and treatment. Some common cardiovascular specialties include:

Interventional Cardiology

Electrophysiology

Structural Cardiology

Invasive Imaging

Peripheral Intervention

Stress Test Nursing

These invasive cardiovascular specialties require specialized training, expertise, and advanced technology to perform complex procedures safely and effectively. They play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases and improving patient outcomes.

A Cardiovascular Nurse/Technologist is a specialized medical professional who works with patients who have cardiovascular diseases or conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Cardiovascular nurses assist physicians and other healthcare providers during diagnostic procedures and treatments, such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and cardiac rehabilitation sessions.

Electrophysiology Nurse/Technologist specializes in working with patients who have heart rhythm disorders, also known as arrhythmias. These nurses are trained to assist cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating various cardiac conditions, such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and bradycardia.

Stress Test Nurse plays a crucial role in administering stress tests to patients as part of cardiac evaluation and assessment. Stress tests are diagnostic procedures used to evaluate how well the heart functions during physical activity and to identify any abnormalities in heart function or blood flow.

Interventional Radiology/Technologist specializes in providing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures guided by medical imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT scans. These procedures are performed by interventional radiologists to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions throughout the body, often avoiding the need for traditional open surgery.

Many of our Healthworks invasive team members are cross trained to fill critical shortages as needed.

Invasive team members are known within their communities and requested repeatedly from our hospital and physician partners.
